This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and problem-solving with healthcare providers and their staff regarding patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Spend up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and their staff, evaluate educational needs, and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare providers on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work alongside sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Lead discussions on compliant access and fulfillment strategies.
• Leverage data and account management skills to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address urgent patient access and affordability challenges with accountability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on current policies and potential modifications.
• Provide field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions for Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial plans.
• Conduct business activities in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards, as well as required training.
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in healthcare or business/public administration).
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within the provider office environment, fostering strong customer relationships.
• Proven expertise in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care (revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes).
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and identify timely and effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and effective follow-through.
• Experience working with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency in the specified territory.
• An advanced business degree (MBA) or public health (MPH) is preferred.
• Preferred experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Advanced degrees and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Understanding Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives that impact reimbursement is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• This role requires up to 75% travel.
• Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
• Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; 48 hours for employees residing in Colorado; 56 hours for employees residing in Washington.
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year.
