This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.
• Act as the principal field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues with healthcare providers and their office staff concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of time to on-site engagement with healthcare providers and their staff, identifying educational needs and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding reimbursement processes, claims submission, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in partnership with sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant access and fulfillment dialogues with field support teams.
• Leverage data and account management skills to proactively tackle access obstacles.
• Address significant patient access and affordability challenges.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on existing and potential future policies.
• Offer field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers across assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Gain knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments such as marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial plans.
• Execute business activities in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards as well as required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Extensive understanding of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and/or assignment of benefit (AOB).
• Capability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Experience in account management and reimbursement.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services.
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to navigate challenging access scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company standards.
• Permanent residency in the specified territory.
• Experience in neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about emerging technologies such as AI.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
