This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolving issues related to patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and their office personnel.
• Inform healthcare professionals about reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal J&J teams.
• Function as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions regarding access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management skills to proactively tackle access challenges.
• Address significant access and affordability concerns for patients.
• Provide field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Maintain an understanding of market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Acquire knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Carry out business activities in compliance with ethical, legal, and training standards.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office environment.
• Proficient in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Relevant experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and propose timely, effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residence within the specified territory.
• Experience in neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Solid understanding of market access and business acumen is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting pharmaceutical and biotechnology product reimbursement is preferred.
• Technical expertise in payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
