This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues related to patient access for J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of work hours on-site with healthcare providers and their office personnel.
• Evaluate the educational needs of healthcare providers and promote collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide education to HCPs regarding reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work alongside sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions about access and fulfillment with field support teams.
• Employ data and account management expertise to proactively tackle access obstacles.
• Tackle critical issues related to patient access and affordability with promptness and accountability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on existing policies and potential future modifications.
• Provide field-based support for reimbursement and access, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Acquire knowledge about hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as the subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards while completing all required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within the provider office environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capacity to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to address complex access challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency in the designated territory.
• Experience in the neuroscience disease state is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting reimbursement is preferred.
• Proven competence with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
