This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues related to patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Dedicate up to 50% of time on-site with healthcare providers and their staff.
• Evaluate HCP education needs and promote collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide education to HCPs regarding reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and various internal J&J departments.
• Function as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Initiate compliant discussions regarding access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management skills to overcome access barriers.
• Tackle critical patient access and affordability challenges.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate relationships with customers within assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed on market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial plans.
• Complete necessary training and conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office environment.
• Proficient in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Ability to forge relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with efficient follow-through.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residence within the specified territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Experience in neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement is preferred.
• Technical expertise in payer policy, reimbursement, coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
