This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary lead in the field for education, support, and resolution of issues related to patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Spend up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and their teams.
• Evaluate the educational needs of healthcare providers (HCPs) and promote collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide education to HCPs regarding reimbursement procedures, claims submissions, processes, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with sales representatives, key account managers, and field support teams.
• Function as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Lead discussions on compliant access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management capabilities to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address significant issues related to patient access and affordability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues regarding current policies and potential modifications.
• Conduct field-based support for reimbursement and access, education, and problem-solving.
• Foster trust-based relationships with customers in designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Develop familiarity with hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments such as marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Execute business activities in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards along with required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting, establishing robust customer relationships.
• Proven expertise in both pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or managed care, encompassing revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and identify timely and effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Permanent residency in the specified territory.
• In-depth knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and/or assignment of benefit (AOB).
• Ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Capacity to stay updated and anticipate changes in product coverage, access knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Ability to comprehend and adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Experience in the neuroscience disease state is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives that affect reimbursement for pharmaceutical and biotechnology products is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment, is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
