This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and issue resolution with healthcare providers and their office staff regarding patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and staff, evaluating educational needs and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare providers on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work closely with sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Guide compliant access and fulfillment discussions with members of the field support team.
• Utilize data and account management expertise to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address urgent access and affordability challenges for patients with a sense of urgency and accountability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues to comprehend current and potential future policies.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels to bolster practice and patient support.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Function as the subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial payer plans.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete all required training.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Relevant experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and devise solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services is preferred.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards are necessary.
• Permanent residency in the specified territory is required.
• Experience with neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are essential.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology product reimbursement is necessary.
• Technical understanding of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about emerging technologies such as AI is required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time is necessary.
