This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of time working directly with healthcare providers and their staff.
• Provide guidance to healthcare providers on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal J&J departments.
• Function as the local authority on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions on access and fulfillment.
• Leverage data and account management skills to proactively identify and address access challenges.
• Tackle critical patient access and affordability issues with a sense of urgency and accountability.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Foster trust-based relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Gain knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial payer plans.
• Conduct business in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete all required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capacity to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations and devise timely, efficient solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency within the specified territory.
• Comprehensive understanding of medication access channels, encompassing pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and/or assignment of benefit.
• Ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business/public administration; an MBA or MPH is a plus.
• Preferred experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Advanced degrees and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement is preferred.
• Technical expertise in payer policy, coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Eligibility for long-term incentive programs.
