This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolution of issues concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of time on-site with healthcare providers and staff to evaluate educational needs and encourage collaboration among stakeholders.
• Instruct healthcare providers on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal departments within J&J.
• Lead discussions on compliant access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management skills to overcome access barriers.
• Address significant patient access and affordability challenges.
• Offer field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and solutions to problems.
• Cultivate relationships with customers in designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and strategic account planning.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance practice and patient support through knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across various payer types.
• Conduct business in adherence to ethical, legal, and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement in a provider office environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or managed care is necessary.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with patient support HUB services is beneficial.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency in the specified territory.
• Preferred experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting reimbursement is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Openness to learning new technologies, including AI.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
