Field Reimbursement Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct office visits with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office staff to facilitate appropriate patient access to Pfizer products.

• Address questions related to reimbursement and coverage.

• Provide both in-person and virtual education regarding payer landscapes, coverage and formulary updates, payer policies, and patient support.

• Distribute Pfizer-approved materials on reimbursement and coverage.

• Educate HCPs and office personnel on Hub financial assistance options, enrollment procedures, portals, and brochures.

• Collaborate with Pfizer patient access and support programs to comprehend payer requirements for individual patients.

• Respond to prescription-status inquiries for patients enrolled in Pfizer access and support programs.

• Utilize Pfizer’s designated case notes system in compliance with regulations.

• Act as a subject matter expert on reimbursement and coverage matters impacting Pfizer products in the designated regions.

• Ensure appropriate patient access to prescribed Pfizer products.

• Provide internal Pfizer leadership with analytical insights and local market information regarding reimbursement challenges.

• Communicate in compliance with stakeholders to influence ideas and actions without direct authority.

• Connect customer insights with offerings and resources aimed at overcoming patient access obstacles.

• Foster trust through consistent follow-up and comprehensive knowledge of the access journey.

• Conduct live customer interactions, necessitating approximately 50% travel.

• Support the territory, which includes Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Scranton, Lancaster, York, Erie, State College, Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Charleston WV.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, typically in pharmaceutical sales and/or coding and reimbursement.

• Experience in Reimbursement and Access is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of Specialty Drug Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and policy dynamics across Pfizer Business Units/Brands.

• A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree is required.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience in strategic planning and successful implementation of plans.

• Proven leadership skills and a record of success in cross-boundary collaboration.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple relevant stakeholders.

• Capacity to operate in a highly regulated environment while adhering to strict compliance guidelines and procedures.

• Demonstrated track record of collaborating with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.

• Training and experience in responsible business communication, both written and verbal.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.

• A wide array of leadership experiences, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing and coaching others, and guiding colleagues.

• Must reside within the designated territory boundaries.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred but not mandatory.

• Knowledge or certification in coding and billing is a plus but not required.
