This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolving issues with healthcare providers and office personnel concerning patient access to J&J Immunology therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time onsite with healthcare providers to assess their educational needs and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding product coverage, prior authorizations, appeals, reimbursement procedures, claims submissions, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with sales representatives and key account managers, serving as the reimbursement authority for the local team.
• Tackle critical issues related to patient access and affordability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on ongoing and upcoming policy developments.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in assigned Immunology accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Partner with internal departments such as marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Function as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards, and complete all mandatory training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within hospital and/or provider office environments.
• Proficient in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
• Background in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access challenges.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Willingness to maintain up to 50% travel consistently.
• Permanent residence within the specified territory.
• Preferably possess experience in the immunology disease state.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting reimbursement is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
