This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +3 more states.
• Conduct office visits with healthcare providers and office personnel to facilitate patient access to Pfizer products.
• Address reimbursement and coverage inquiries.
• Offer both in-person and virtual education regarding payer landscapes, coverage and formulary updates, payer policies, and patient support.
• Distribute materials related to coverage and reimbursement that have been approved by Pfizer.
• Inform healthcare providers and office personnel about Hub financial assistance programs, enrollment procedures, portals, and brochures.
• Collaborate with Pfizer's patient access and support initiatives to comprehend payer requirements for individual patients.
• Respond to prescription-status inquiries for patients enrolled in Pfizer's access and support programs.
• Utilize Pfizer’s designated case-notes system in a compliant manner.
• Act as a subject-matter expert on reimbursement and coverage issues impacting Pfizer products within assigned regions.
• Ensure appropriate patient access to prescribed Pfizer products.
• Provide internal Pfizer leadership with interpretive data and local market insights on reimbursement challenges.
• Communicate compliantly with stakeholders to influence ideas, actions, or positions without direct authority.
• Connect customer insights to offerings and resources that address patient access obstacles.
• Build trust through consistent follow-up and understanding of the access journey.
• Allocate approximately 50% of time to conducting live customer interactions and travel as necessary based on geographic location and customer requirements.
• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, typically in pharmaceutical sales and/or coding and reimbursement.
• Experience in Reimbursement and Access is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Specialty Drug Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and policy dynamics across Pfizer Business Units/Brands.
• A B.S. or B.A. degree is mandatory.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience with strategic planning and effective plan execution.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with numerous stakeholders.
• Capability to operate in a highly regulated environment while adhering to strict compliance guidelines and procedures.
• A demonstrated history of collaboration with a diverse array of customers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Training in and experience with responsible business communication, both written and verbal.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, mentor and develop others, and supervise and guide colleagues.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge or certification in coding and billing is a plus but not required.
