This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Investigate and validate the facts related to complex homeowner claims.
• Assess coverage and damages, adjusting and negotiating claims within the limits of authority.
• Develop detailed damage estimates for intricate first-party homeowner claims.
• Oversee and manage moderate to complex residential property claims, which may include farm and ranch claims.
• Perform on-site inspections as well as manage virtual claim handling.
• Negotiate settlements and execute settlement payments.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all activities in complex claim files.
• Interpret various company policy types, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to fair claims practices.
• Act as a peer mentor, offering guidance to junior staff members.
• Support leadership with both formal and informal training initiatives.
• Suggest enhancements to existing processes.
• Foster relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Candidates must reside in Minnesota.
• Strong skills in estimating are essential.
• Proficiency in using Xactimate is required.
• Prior experience with agricultural, farm, and ranch claims is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical thinking and customer service abilities are a must.
• Experience with homeowners and property claims is necessary.
• Strong negotiation skills are required.
• As a condition of employment, individuals with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment.
• Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when directed by the licensing team.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• The employer does not sponsor individuals for work visas.
• A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is necessary when working from home.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.
• Applicable active licenses may include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or relevant Appraiser License.
