Field Operations Coordinator / Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate daily field operations throughout the project.

• Manage communication and coordination with geographically distributed field teams.

• Organize team schedules, assignments, and operational tasks.

• Monitor project progress, attendance, task completion, and operational KPIs.

• Collect, review, and maintain operational reports and project data.

• Identify operational challenges and facilitate timely resolutions.

• Address escalations and communicate critical matters to project management.

• Assist field team members with operational inquiries and daily challenges.

• Ensure adherence to project processes and operational requirements consistently.

• Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

• Maintain accurate records, trackers, and documentation utilizing Excel/Google Sheets.

• Identify potential operational risks and proactively propose solutions.

• Adapt to evolving project needs, priorities, and operational circumstances.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in operations, project coordination, or project management.

• Experience managing distributed field teams is highly desirable.

• Strong people management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to coordinate daily operations, schedules, reporting, and escalations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing operational environment.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Good understanding of Excel and/or Google Sheets along with operational reporting.

• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of assigned duties.

• Availability for long-term collaboration throughout the project duration.

• Experience in field operations, automotive projects, fleet operations, logistics, data collection, vehicle testing, field service operations, workforce or field team management, large-scale distributed operations, or similar operational settings is strongly encouraged.
