Operational Medicine Lead – Military Health IT, Field Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and coordinate operational medicine field-support initiatives across one or multiple combatant-command regions.

• Act as the primary point of coordination for command surgeons, Service medical teams, and operational stakeholders.

• Plan and oversee fielding, sustainment, and exercise-support operations related to deployed military medical information systems.

• Facilitate field service, engineering, exercise-support, and credentialed clinical expertise.

• Assist in ensuring deployment readiness, operational continuity, and transitions as military medical units rotate or change assignments.

• Monitor system adoption, operational challenges, and support efficiency.

• Communicate operational risks and significant issues through program leadership for resolution and decision-making by the Government.

• Collaborate with military medical professionals, technical specialists, and field-support teams to advance the JOMIS mission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in operational medicine, including deployed Role 1–3 experience.

• Previous experience in field service leadership or theater medical IT leadership.

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently around the globe, including to overseas and challenging locations.

• Preferred background as an Army 68W, Navy corpsman, Independent Duty Medical Technician (IDMT), or medical officer.

• Preferred experience supporting a combatant-command surgeon's office or Service medical staff.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
