
Field Medical Team Leader, Cardiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Lead, manage, develop, and mentor a team of Rare Cardiology Field Medical professionals.
• Oversee work prioritization and resource distribution, and approve expenditures related to the team.
• Address HR issues including performance evaluations, salary planning, colleague recruitment, development strategies, retention efforts, team culture, and conflict management.
• Ensure that team activities adhere to policies, guidelines, regulations, and training deadlines.
• Collaborate with the Medical Governance team and administrative support staff.
• Assist HQ Medical Affairs in strategic planning, field medical insights, medical plan execution, and budget management.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of significant above-brand strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate effective, appropriate, and compliant communication among HQ Medical Affairs, Rare Cardiology Field Medical, and commercial teams.
• Manage the Medical Review Committee approval process for Rare Cardiology medical content.
• Participate in Field Medical and cross-functional committees and teams.
• Engage with investigators and other healthcare professionals in clinical and research activities.
• Communicate and adhere to FDA and other U.S. regulations governing external healthcare professional interactions and medical information dissemination.
• Champion the adoption of digital technology and related offerings to enhance communication efficiency and customer experience.
• Stay updated on the latest scientific and medical literature and advancements in Rare Cardiology.
• A Bachelor's degree in a health science is required.
• 12 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 10 years with an MBA/MS; 7 years with a PharmD or PhD.
• A PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions is preferred.
• Previous Field Medical experience is preferred.
• Must be located near an airline hub city.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• No DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citations in the past 7 years.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.
