This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Guide customer decision-making and enhance population health through real-world data analytics, pharmacoeconomic evaluations, outcomes assessments, and medical presentations.
• Inform customers about the clinical and economic implications of Pfizer's medicines and products.
• Strategize and implement independent medical engagement for designated customers within a specific territory.
• Create and execute medical account plans while representing Medical Affairs and conveying customer insights.
• Address medical and scientific inquiries related to Pfizer products and various disease states.
• Deliver presentations to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision-makers, and regional medical advisory boards.
• Facilitate dialogue between regional/national healthcare organizations and the headquarters of Medical Affairs.
• Coordinate Pfizer-sponsored collaborative, quality-improvement, and non-interventional research projects.
• Supply objective medical information through pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational initiatives, HOPEs, studies, and partnerships.
• Develop and implement Real-World Evidence-based outcomes tools aimed at enhancing patient care and tackling population health management.
• Provide medical guidance for Health Information Technology initiatives and evaluate organizational capabilities and feasibility.
• Analyze clinical healthcare information-system workflows to minimize care gaps and boost efficiencies and population health.
• Create clinical content and innovative information-technology tools and resources.
• Offer expertise on e-data collection and planning for Field Medical colleagues.
• Collaborate across functions to design and deploy HIT solutions that align with Pfizer Medical objectives.
• Support HIT/clinical informatics resources during new product and indication launches.
• Maintain and leverage Clinical Informatics capabilities for external collaborations.
• Develop internal and external tools, resources, and educational materials.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical and professional associations.
• Enhance customer recognition through collaborative projects, publications, and healthcare awards.
• Review scientific literature, monitor competitive developments, and participate in assigned conferences.
• Work with Pfizer colleagues to understand customer outcomes and data-analysis requirements.
• Oversee multiple field-based projects and prioritize their execution.
• Educate healthcare organizations on patient care gaps and guideline-based care.
• Provide leadership within the territory/customer, serve on committees, and support mentorship and onboarding efforts.
• Maintain professional licensure and fulfill required training.
• A bachelor's degree in a health science is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; 8+ years with a master’s degree; 6+ years with a terminal doctorate degree.
• Proficient in clinical, formulary, and/or other management; managed care, pharmaceutical industry, and/or quality improvement; or data analytics and/or HEOR activities.
• Strong methodological skills in study design, data analysis, and interpretation within health services research.
• Extensive experience interacting with payers and other organized customers.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage multiple customer demands and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Diverse leadership experience with the ability to influence and collaborate with peers.
• Excellent analytical, comprehension, and scientific communication capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize various demands and practice situational leadership.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips.
• Capability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle with a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Must live within a 2-hour drive of a major airport.
• Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record; any DUI/DWI or impaired-driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring.
• Availability to work occasional weekends.
• Must reside in the New England region or be open to relocation; preferred locations are Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Upstate New York.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.
