This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +6 more states.
β’ Create and execute annual Coalition field strategies, priorities, and deliverables in collaboration with coalition members and leaders.
β’ Develop field processes, procedures, and tracking systems to ensure effective field operations.
β’ Cultivate and sustain relationships with local, state, regional, and national partners throughout the region.
β’ Partner with Coalition staff and members to establish, maintain, and support connections with federally recognized Tribal Nations.
β’ Keep Coalition members informed about key events, milestones, and opportunities through newsletters, listserv updates, talking points, and other communication channels.
β’ Assist in organizing Coalition meetings and events, such as community listening sessions, the annual Ohio River Summit, and Ohio River Hill Day in Washington, D.C.
β’ Collaborate with partners and allies to create a repository of local threats to waterways and successful restoration and remediation projects.
β’ Share opportunities for member engagement, including sign-on letters, webinars, funding resources, and other tools.
β’ Create talking points, fact sheets, website content, and various outreach and communication materials.
β’ Support Coalition social media platforms and amplify aligned messages from members and partners.
β’ A minimum of 2β5 years of professional experience or equivalent working experience in issue advocacy.
β’ A focus on developing and enhancing partnerships and coalitions.
β’ Preferred familiarity with conservation and environmental issues.
β’ A strong desire to learn and a commitment to assisting communities, partners, and allies in advancing shared goals.
β’ Proven success in establishing trust-based relationships with internal and external partners across a diverse and complex landscape.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Capability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities to meet deadlines.
β’ Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with staff and organizations.
β’ Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
β’ Flexibility to evaluate ongoing tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
β’ Good judgment, initiative, and the capacity to respond to inquiries appropriately.
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally, 1β3 times per month.
β’ U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization to work in the U.S.
