Field Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Travel within the designated territory to perform technical repairs and installations for Roche product lines.

• Offer routine technical assistance and on-site support to laboratory clients.

• Execute repairs and installations of Roche products.

• Act as a primary contact for customers regarding technical and service-related inquiries.

• Conduct preventative maintenance.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system malfunctions.

• Document all activities comprehensively.

• Contribute to initiatives for quality improvement.

• Strive to maximize customer satisfaction.

• Function as an internal technical resource.

• Provide after-hours support, including weekends and holidays.

• Foster and maintain strong customer relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma along with 2 years of technical school education, or equivalent military training or work experience.

• Five years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.

• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field accompanied by 1–2 years of progressive experience.

• Successful completion of training or certification as specified by RD Services Leadership and policy.

• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips.

• Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience.

• Advanced understanding of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.

• Capability to serve as an internal technical resource.

• Availability to provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays.

• Aptitude for maintaining strong customer relationships.

• Ideal candidates should reside within the territory.
