Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver daily technical assistance to field supervision and construction teams.

• Create, uphold, and oversee construction work packages to guarantee readiness in the field.

• Organize weekly work schedules, pinpoint constraints, and aid in planning for upcoming tasks.

• Address field challenges, manage Requests for Information (RFIs), and ensure crews utilize the latest drawings and specifications.

• Monitor installed quantities, productivity, and performance metrics of the project.

• Conduct site walk-downs to assess progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications.

• Assist in safety planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safe work procedures.

• Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and project controls to ensure successful execution.

• Support commissioning, system turnover, and final project closure activities.

• Act as a liaison between engineering, planning, and construction operations.

• Engage in project management activities from a home office when not on-site.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in field engineering, construction, project engineering, or a comparable role.

• Proficient in developing, reviewing, and managing construction or installation work packages.

• Familiarity with construction management software like InEight or similar platforms.

• Understanding of construction sequencing, planning, and field execution practices.

• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar tools is preferred.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project locations throughout the United States.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in supporting industrial construction, power generation, or heavy industrial projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of piping, structural steel, equipment installation, or mechanical construction processes is advantageous.

• Familiarity with quantity tracking, productivity assessment, earned value management, or project controls is preferred.

• Experience with commissioning, startup, or system turnover tasks is favorable.

• OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it shortly after hiring, is preferred.
