Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative of the PO at RSR sites, adhering to a demanding multi-site schedule.

• Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for the RSR program office, assisting project, implementation, and engineering leads.

• Engage in the final planning and site preparation, which includes creating site implementation plans and conducting site visits as necessary.

• Offer onsite installation and construction consultation to support implementation and disposition activities.

• Guide contractors regarding requirements based on design drawings and the statement of work (SOW).

• Assist with installation and disposition efforts for the RSR Program Office at major airports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.

• Experience in the research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.

• Capability to perform at a high level both independently and within a small team while adhering to a strict installation schedule.

• Proven commitment to maintaining high-quality practices during RSR implementation.

• Professional representation of Leidos to FAA customers.

• Previous experience as an FAA radar specialist with multi-year responsibility for radar systems in the operational NAS is preferred.

• Practical field experience with one or more radar systems in the active NAS is preferred.

• Familiarity with FAA operational risk management practices is preferred.

• Demonstrated understanding of FAA construction and installation requirements at RSR sites is preferred.
