Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative for Tensar Engineered Solutions at designated job sites during installation, ensuring that the installation adheres to design specifications.

• Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings with all project stakeholders.

• Conduct post-construction interviews with key stakeholders to verify that original design objectives are achieved and functioning as intended.

• Record project progress, submit daily reports, and gather feedback to share with the Area Engineer and Regional Sales Manager.

• Perform project site assessments utilizing dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) and other methods to gather data for Tensar solutions.

• Support the Area Engineer by providing technical assistance to the sales team, which includes using design software, writing reports, and preparing submittals.

• Create and present technical presentations and demonstrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Project Engineering, or as a Field Technician is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technical presentations.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capability to cultivate effective relationships throughout the organization and collaborate with all levels of staff.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to focus, prioritize, and align skills with tasks effectively.

• Willingness to travel regionally up to 25% - 50% of the time.

• Capability to prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management will be considered.

• A Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or a Professional Engineer (PE) designation is preferred.
