This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Serve as a Field Service Engineer for the X-Ray Systems division located in Maryland.
• Establish credibility and trust with customers through proactive onsite visits.
• Maintain regular communication with both customers and internal teams regarding equipment and customer-related issues.
• Identify and resolve customer challenges through the appropriate escalation procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by effectively managing entitlements, expectations, commitments, and arrival schedules.
• Gain an understanding of customers’ businesses and their competitive landscapes.
• Drive service revenue by proposing solutions that align with the service portfolio.
• Embrace, develop, and implement best practices within the team.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues and engage actively in regional work teams.
• Enhance team processes for improved efficiency.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations, training, quality, and safety standards.
• Oversee company assets, labor hours, parts, tools, testing equipment, purchase orders, vehicles, and expenditures.
• Manage administrative responsibilities including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, preventive maintenance, installation documentation, and site/service records.
• Independently troubleshoot and resolve electronic, network, mechanical, equipment, and customer-related issues.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and related tasks.
• Provide telephone, remote technical support, and diagnostics as needed.
• Service and maintain laser printers, networks, CR and DR X-ray imaging equipment, radio fluoroscopy devices, and other hospital equipment at customer locations.
• Associate Degree in electronics or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 4 years in diagnostic imaging or over 6 years in the electronics industry, ideally in a field service capacity.
• Proficient in computers and networking.
• Competency in PC usage, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking principles to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Familiarity with the necessary tools and testing equipment.
• Proficient in understanding and utilizing technical terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and site diagrams with minimal assistance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, along with self-discipline and the independence to work autonomously in high-pressure settings.
• Adaptability to evolving work demands in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Effective team player capable of sharing knowledge and expertise.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with various levels of employees and customers.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record in compliance with Fleet Policy.
• Residency within the territory is required.
• Must comply with customer-required certifications/credentialing for facility access.
• Experience with X-Ray or complex medical devices, as well as familiarity with Carestream equipment, is preferred.
