Field Customer Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct startup, commissioning, servicing, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment.

• Maintain and service static transfer switches.

• Oversee service for power distribution equipment.

• Manage servicing of remote power panels.

• Deliver customer support both on-site and through email and phone communication.

• Keep accurate and up-to-date service records within the LayerZero system.

• Respond to critical incidents promptly.

• Engage in LayerZero's 24/7 incident response by participating in scheduled time slots for 1-844-855-5977.

• Attend training sessions at LayerZero headquarters located in Aurora, Ohio.

• Execute field service tasks at customer locations across the US and Canada.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous service experience with electric power systems – Required.

• Proficient electrical and electronic troubleshooting abilities – Required.

• Capability to interpret diagrams and schematics – Required.

• Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards utilizing PC-based applications – Required.

• Strong safety awareness and knowledge of electrical PPE – Required.

• Maintained clean driving record – Required.

• Electronics or electrical training obtained from military service – Preferred.

• Associate degree in an electrical discipline – Preferred.

• Military training in electronics or electrical systems.

• Willingness and capability to travel as needed.

• Availability for occasional weekend or holiday shifts.

• Must be able to work at customer locations throughout the US and Canada.
