Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical representative during client meetings, RFPs, and innovative project scopes.

• Facilitate comprehensive discovery discussions and translate them into actionable scopes for research and delivery teams.

• Manage the initial and mid-stages of the sales process by initiating discussions, securing technical successes, and establishing partnerships.

• Address objections during live technical deep dives alongside engineering and research teams.

• Develop the frontier-lab community in the Valley through intimate, impactful events.

• Collaborate with post-training, safety, and security leads from frontier labs.

• Represent Alice at conferences, analyst briefings, technical presentations, and collaborative research efforts.

• Bring market insights back to the company to assist in identifying emerging priorities.

• Partner with the CTO to outline the next strategic opportunity and integrate it into the roadmap.

• Shape the agenda for the AI Labs pod, influence AI security research priorities, and steer product direction.

• Define how Alice engages in the Valley and serve as the primary on-ground representative.

• Conduct interviews for related roles, assist in regional hiring, and represent Alice locally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant experience as a Field CTO or in similar roles.

• Profound and up-to-date knowledge of AI systems security, including agents, tools, orchestration, data flow, guardrails, red teaming, and evaluations.

• Familiarity with how frontier labs procure from and collaborate with vendors.

• Proven history of converting research into commercially viable products and scalable revenue.

• Established credibility with frontier-lab researchers.

• Comfortable serving as a public technical spokesperson.

• Based in the Bay Area with an active network in the Valley AI and security community.

• Proficient in collaborating across the Israel time zone.

• Nice to have: Practical experience with RL post-training, GRPO, agentic environments, or evaluation harness design.

• Nice to have: Previous experience within a frontier lab, research organization, or vendor selling to one.

• Nice to have: Experience as the first senior representative in a new geographic area.
