This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Define and take charge of the agency's long-term technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives, service offerings, and market positioning.
• Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to the overall company strategy, annual planning, and significant business decisions.
• Manage the technology budget, encompassing platform, licensing, infrastructure, and headcount investments, with clearly defined return-on-investment expectations.
• Lead decisions regarding building, buying, or partnering for major platforms and capabilities.
• Report technology performance, risk, and investment outcomes to ownership and, when applicable, to investors or a board.
• Build, lead, and expand the technology organization, including the Director of Technology and teams focused on CRM/MarTech, integrations, data, AI, and systems administration.
• Design the organizational structure, leadership roles, and hiring plans necessary to support the agency's growth.
• Establish the culture, engineering standards, and operating principles for technology development, deployment, and support across the agency.
• Develop leaders within the technology organization through coaching, succession planning, and creating clear career pathways.
• Provide executive technology leadership for 321 AIM in collaboration with its leadership, guiding platform architecture, scalability, reliability, and roadmap priorities.
• Identify opportunities to transform repeatable agency solutions, data assets, and automations into proprietary products, platforms, or productized services.
• Oversee product development practices, including requirements gathering, release management, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
• Safeguard and enhance the agency's technology intellectual property.
• Establish the company-wide AI strategy and govern the responsible use of AI.
• Spearhead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that create new service lines, improve margins, or enhance client outcomes.
• Collaborate with department leaders to integrate AI into creative, paid media, CRM, reporting, and agency operations.
• Manage enterprise architecture across internal systems, client platforms, data infrastructure, and integrations.
• Lead the information security program, including policies, access management, vendor risk, incident response, and business continuity.
• Ensure that agency and client technology complies with regulatory and contractual requirements, including HIPAA, business associate agreements, TCPA, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Guide the agency towards formal security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2.
• Define the agency's data strategy and oversee measurement and attribution infrastructure.
• Build the data foundation for performance-based pricing, benchmarking, and predictive insights.
• Act as the senior technology executive with clients, partners, and prospects.
• Lead the technology narrative in new business pitches, RFP responses, and strategic client relationships.
• Develop and manage strategic technology partnerships with High Level, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google, and Meta.
• Conduct technical due diligence for partnerships, acquisitions, or significant client engagements.
• 12+ years of experience in technology leadership, with proven expertise in MarTech, CRM architecture, data infrastructure, and platform or product development — agency, MarTech, or SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years in an executive or senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP of Technology or Engineering, or Director overseeing multiple teams), including experience in building and scaling technology organizations.
• A successful track record of establishing technology strategy and delivering measurable business results, including revenue growth, margin enhancement, or new product development.
• Experience leading the development of proprietary platforms or software products, from architecture and roadmap through launch and scaling.
• Strong understanding of CRM and marketing automation ecosystems — High Level is highly preferred; experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and HubSpot is also valued.
• Proficient in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure), APIs, integrations, and data platforms.
• Experience leading security and compliance programs in regulated industries, including HIPAA; familiarity with SOC 2 or similar frameworks is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in AI strategy and adoption, including LLM-powered products or workflows, with sound judgment regarding governance and responsible use.
• Proven ability to manage technology budgets, vendor strategy, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Excellent executive-level communication skills — capable of presenting technology strategy to ownership, investors, boards, and enterprise clients with clarity and credibility.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, remote, multi-client environment with competing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience; advanced degree is a plus.
