Field Clinical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement structured, repeatable training programs for Territory Managers and center personnel.

• Empower Territory Managers and center personnel to independently manage cases and program patients.

• Take ownership of regional training materials, proctoring, and certification pathways in collaboration with national Sales Training & Enablement.

• Enhance the confidence and clinical proficiency of Territory Managers regarding Evoke and ECAP-guided closed-loop programming.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Professional Education, and Clinical teams to develop scalable enablement resources and best-practice playbooks.

• Provide on-the-ground development and onboarding for new employees.

• Promote the adoption of advanced features in ECAP-guided closed-loop programming.

• Assist key accounts in building patient funnels and utilizing clinical evidence to foster de novo adoption.

• Support centers in achieving implant center designations, meeting volume thresholds, and obtaining pathway certifications.

• Cultivate relationships with physicians and staff while delivering education through grand rounds, academic hospitals, and fellowship programs.

• Transition routine case management to trained representatives and center staff.

• Track and enhance program health, feature adoption, and field compliance using data, dashboards, and reports.

• Identify opportunities for therapy and workflow enhancements and document repeatable best practices.

• Provide advanced troubleshooting support remotely and, when necessary, in person.

• Coach field staff to independently resolve routine issues.

• Work collaboratively with Clinical Engineering, Therapy & Development, Data Analytics, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

• Assist with Saluda-sponsored regional trials through programming, data collection, and analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (highly preferred) or a related technical or health field.

• An MS, PhD, or relevant advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in medical devices, healthcare, or a clinical environment.

• 2–3 years of clinical experience with medical devices or equivalent, ideally with closed-loop implantable electronic medical devices (Neuromodulation, CRM).

• Proven experience in designing and delivering training or educational programs, along with scaling knowledge across a field team (strongly preferred).

• Strong analytical skills to assess and evaluate technologically complex devices.

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively across commercial, clinical, and corporate divisions.

• High comfort level in navigating medical environments, including laboratories and hospital settings.

• Patient-centric mindset with the capability to combine subjective and objective data.

• Demonstrated success in building confidence to lead and influence customers; ability to provide guidance and make course corrections as necessary.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to instruct diverse audiences.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including overnight stays.

• Preference for candidates located within 1 hour of a major airport.
