Field Auto Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers at their residences, repair facilities, or towing locations.

• Prepare estimates and assist customers throughout the repair or total loss journey.

• Perform in-person assessments, virtual inspections, and written correspondence.

• Assess vehicle damage and coordinate with body shops and service providers.

• Investigate claims through thorough damage evaluations and policy interpretation to ascertain coverage.

• Keep customers informed via phone, email, and video chat about the status of their claims.

• Analyze and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.

• Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims effectively.

• Diligently document claims and ensure timely record-keeping in the claims system.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to compose precise and comprehensive estimates.

• Comfortable with technology and various platforms for processing claims.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.

• Candidates must reside in Queens, NY.

• Required adjusters' and/or appraisers' licenses must be secured within 60 days of employment.

• Must maintain all necessary licenses for the role, including ongoing education and state-specific renewal requirements.

• Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.

• Allstate typically does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position.

• For remote work, a dedicated, private workspace, suitable desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload are required.
