This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders.
• Advise customers on laboratory requirements and assist them throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct or assist with the installation of diagnostic instruments, software, and reagent applications.
• Validate system performance against manufacturer specifications and ensure the effective implementation of installed solutions.
• Provide and create on-site training for laboratory personnel on Roche systems, encompassing theory of operation, workflow, quality control, and data interpretation.
• Address complex technical challenges related to instrumentation, software, and assay performance.
• Carry out root cause analysis and execute corrective actions to minimize instrument downtime.
• Collaborate with Roche team members to deliver and support comprehensive solutions, including automation and digital tools.
• Offer scientific and application expertise to laboratory stakeholders and medical professionals.
• Enhance workflows, implement new assays, and interpret results for Roche’s portfolio.
• Gather customer feedback on product performance, features, and usability and communicate it to support and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with sales during pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical consultations, menu optimization, and post-sales revenue-generating opportunities.
• Adhere to Roche protocols and procedures.
• Maintain records of service activities, customer interactions, and technical issues in Roche’s CRM system.
• Complete administrative tasks such as travel and expense reporting.
• Provide support to customers in a field-based territory covering New Jersey and Philadelphia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, and/or relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a clinical laboratory or IT within a clinical lab environment, which may include internships, college experience, or certification time.
• Preferred Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent clinical laboratory experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience in a clinical environment with proven knowledge of clinical chemistry and immunoassay.
• Capability to learn Roche solutions applicable to various franchises, including chemistry, immunology, life sciences, and IT solutions.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Experience in implementing new instrumentation or methodologies within a clinical or research laboratory environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with project and stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent customer consultative skills, incorporating advanced scientific knowledge and analysis, training, exceptional customer engagement, and fostering strong customer relationships.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor junior staff and lead by example.
• Ability to work independently as a field-based individual contributor.
• Willingness to travel overnight within the designated territory.
• Ideally, residence in the central New Jersey or Philadelphia area.
