This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver both pre- and post-sales technical and scientific support, both onsite and remotely, for clients utilizing WMG’s NGS and precision enzyme product lines.
• Travel throughout North America, up to 75%, including accompanying sales team members, conducting customer meetings, training sessions, troubleshooting, and participating in trade shows and conferences.
• Present technical information to clients and develop training materials.
• Utilize extensive product knowledge to address customer issues, triage problems, conduct troubleshooting investigations, and propose effective solutions.
• Communicate and implement processes within the North American field-based scientific support organization.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and upcoming NGS products, workflows, precision enzyme applications, competitor offerings, and NGS automation support services.
• Gather customer and market feedback and identify unmet needs for new product development.
• Collaborate with commercial teams, research institutions, and industry partners to expedite the sales cycle.
• Assist marketing initiatives by creating customer-facing technical content, posters, application/technical notes, white papers, webinars, and conference presentations.
• Engage in sales, marketing, and product strategy meetings.
• Record customer-related activities and events in the CRM system in accordance with best practices.
• Undertake additional responsibilities within the scope of the role.
• MSc in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in NGS field applications; candidates with over 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior level position.
• Relevant experience in field-based applications support for NGS experiments and/or other advanced genomics applications.
• Proven experience in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting NGS workflows both manually and on automated platforms.
• Experience managing large-scale sequencing projects.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience in experimental design, applications/assay development, NGS library preparation, PCR, qPCR, good laboratory practices, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NGS assay automation is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Strong consultative skills in customer interactions, scientific analysis, customer engagement, and relationship-building.
• Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.com, is highly preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States and disclosure of any visa sponsorship requirements.
• Three professional references may be requested during the interview process.
• Proximity to a major airport, within 30 miles, is essential.
