This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with more intricate or complex inquiries regarding our immunoassay platform, covering assay design and planning, correlation and bridging between platforms, and data interpretation.

• Conduct scientific seminars for prospects and support pre-sales initiatives by performing evaluations at potential client locations.

• Represent the company by presenting and engaging with customers at scientific meetings, conferences, and trade shows.

• Offer feedback and updates to fellow team members, including those in sales, marketing, and project management.

• Share customer insights and reports from field visits with team members.

• Act as a subject matter expert in immunoassays and remain updated on scientific advancements and workflows in the immunoassay domain, with opportunities to present to internal teams on these topics.

• Collaborate with global Field Applications Scientist teams to train peers and optimize resource sharing.

• Empower scientists through training and support on the use of instruments, assay development, and data analysis related to Luminex & Ella instruments and software.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams within the designated territory.

• Encourage increased product utilization, support sales initiatives through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and participation in vendor exhibitions.

• Accompany Sales Representatives to customer laboratories to offer technical and application expertise.

• Provide post-sales support for assay development and troubleshooting to customers in person, virtually, and via phone and email.

• Travel to customer laboratories to deliver support.

• Relay customer feedback to the marketing, product development, and software teams.

• Assist in the creation and review of technical documentation and training materials.

• Create and maintain customer support information within our CRM (SalesForce).

• Communicate effectively with both customers and team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a BS/BA degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, or a related life science discipline.

• An MS/PhD and experience as a Field Applications Scientist is preferred.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with immunoassays is essential.

• A solid understanding of immunoassay principles and their applicability across various research fields.

• Ability to independently perform assay and reagent troubleshooting, optimization, and validation experiments.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation and training techniques.

• Extensive knowledge of current scientific literature and life science methods and applications.

• A proven track record of working effectively in both team settings and independently is required; prior experience in Field Applications/Technical support is advantageous.

• Required ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.

• Strong time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Experience in training and instruction is essential.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
