Field Applications Engineer – Vision Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance to clients regarding vision systems, CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs.

• Support customers with system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of imaging solutions.

• Conduct both on-site and remote technical training sessions for clients and partners.

• Collaborate with clients to grasp application requirements and develop customized solutions.

• Aid in the design, development, and testing of tailored applications and solutions.

• Offer technical guidance during the evaluation and implementation stages.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product lineup, technical specifications, features, and advantages.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.

• Serve as a technical liaison among clients, sales teams, and solution development teams.

• Establish and nurture relationships with key clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Perform follow-ups with customers and resolve ongoing technical issues.

• Collect customer feedback to guide solution development and enhancements.

• Support the sales team in identifying and qualifying new opportunities.

• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry-related events.

• Create and present technical demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in a field applications engineering position or similar, focusing on vision systems.

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs.

• Strong analytical skills and the capability to troubleshoot intricate technical challenges.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the knack for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-driven and able to work independently in a remote environment.

• Willingness to travel across North America as required.

• Familiarity with software development and programming languages related to imaging systems.

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a demonstrated history of customer satisfaction.

• Expertise in one or more imaging application domains, such as machine vision, scientific imaging, IoT, embedded imaging, automotive imaging, AR/VR, etc.
