This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Act as the technical leader for power and analog solutions that support customer system-level design initiatives.
• Oversee the development of customer power architecture, which includes power tree design, device selection, and system optimization.
• Conduct technical design reviews, perform root-cause analysis, and engage in hands-on debugging of analog and power-related challenges.
• Propel new product evaluations and competitive positioning for Renesas' power and analog offerings.
• Carry out lab activities such as board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.
• Assist in system-level integration across power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.
• Offer technical support to customers from the initial concept stage through to production revenue.
• Provide field feedback to product divisions to help shape roadmaps, prioritize features, and identify system solution gaps.
• Create and deliver customer training sessions, technical seminars, design workshops, and internal enablement materials.
• Build relationships with sales teams, field application engineers (FAEs), and distribution channels as the regional power/analog authority.
• Collaborate with product marketing and business unit teams to ensure alignment between field requirements and product roadmaps.
• Participate in cross-functional engagements where power is a crucial system dependency.
• Travel as necessary to support key customer engagements.
• Must reside in New England; preference for candidates in the Boston area.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Analog and Power Electronics is necessary.
• Proficiency in power conversion and management, including buck/boost converters, PMICs, LDOs, power tree sequencing, battery-powered system design, fuel gauging, charging, and protection.
• Strong knowledge of analog signal chains, including amplifiers, data converters, sensors, filtering, noise, stability, and signal integrity.
• Experience in system-level power architecture design, schematic and PCB layout review, bench characterization, validation, and power-system debugging.
• Understanding of power interactions with MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis, and transient response measurements.
• Excellent communication skills for converting technical content into customer-oriented solutions.
• Self-motivated, highly collaborative, and capable of managing complex technical engagements independently.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, approximately 10–20% or less.
