This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development of customer power architecture, encompassing power tree design, device selection, and system optimization.

• Conduct technical design reviews, root-cause analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting for intricate analog and power challenges.

• Propel new product evaluations and competitive positioning for Renesas' power and analog offerings.

• Carry out lab work including board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.

• Assist in system-level design integration across power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.

• Offer technical support to customers throughout the development cycle from concept to production.

• Relay field feedback to product divisions to shape roadmaps, prioritize features, and address system solution gaps.

• Create and deliver customer training sessions, technical seminars, and internal enablement materials.

• Build relationships with sales teams, Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and distribution as the regional authority on power and analog solutions.

• Collaborate with product marketing and business unit teams to ensure alignment between field requirements and product roadmaps.

• Guide customers through power design hurdles from architecture to debugging and production readiness.

• Support cross-functional collaborations where power is a vital system component.

• Provide technical presentations, customer training, and design workshops.

• Travel as necessary for significant customer engagements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be willing to be based in New England, preferably the Boston area.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in analog and power electronics in a customer-oriented or design capacity.

• Proficient in power conversion and management, including buck/boost converters, PMICs, and LDOs.

• Experience with power tree sequencing and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with battery-powered system design, which includes fuel gauging, charging, and protection mechanisms.

• Strong knowledge of analog signal chains, comprising amplifiers, data converters, sensors, and filtering.

• Insight into noise, stability, and signal integrity considerations.

• Experience in system-level power architecture design.

• Proficient in reviewing schematics and PCB layouts, with a focus on power integrity and thermal aspects.

• Skilled in bench characterization, validation, and debugging of power systems.

• Understanding of power interactions with MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems.

• Hands-on expertise with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis equipment, and transient response measurements.

• Ability to convert technical content into customer-facing solutions and value propositions.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Self-motivated, highly collaborative, and capable of managing complex technical interactions.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% as necessary.

• Must adhere to applicable U.S. export control regulations; a U.S. government export license may be necessary for certain individuals.
