This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development of customer power architecture, which includes power tree design, selection of devices, and optimization of systems.

• Conduct technical design reviews, root-cause analyses, and hands-on debugging for issues related to analog and power.

• Propel evaluations of new products and establish competitive positioning for Renesas power and analog offerings.

• Carry out laboratory tasks such as board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.

• Assist in the integration of system-level components across power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.

• Offer technical support to customers throughout the journey from concept to production.

• Relay field feedback to product divisions to shape roadmaps and prioritize features.

• Create and deliver customer training sessions, technical seminars, and internal enablement materials.

• Build relationships with sales teams, Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and distribution as the regional expert in power and analog.

• Collaborate with product marketing and business unit teams.

• Guide customers in navigating power design challenges from architecture to production readiness.

• Assist in cross-functional collaborations involving MCU/MPU, AI, and connectivity platforms.

• Provide technical presentations, training, and design workshops.

• Travel as necessary for important customer interactions, approximately 10–20% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be based in New England, with a preference for the Boston area.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in analog and power electronics is essential.

• Proficiency in power conversion and management, including buck/boost converters, PMICs, and LDOs.

• Familiarity with power tree sequencing and optimization techniques.

• Experience in designing battery-powered systems, encompassing fuel gauging, charging, and protection mechanisms.

• A solid grasp of analog signal chains, including amplifiers, data converters, sensors, and filtering methods.

• Knowledgeable about noise, stability, and signal integrity aspects.

• Experience in designing system-level power architecture is crucial.

• Competence in reviewing schematics and PCB layouts, particularly concerning power integrity and thermal issues.

• Background in bench characterization, validation, and debugging of power systems.

• Understanding of power interactions with MCUs/MPUs, DDR, high-speed interfaces, and connectivity subsystems.

• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal analysis tools, and transient-response measurements.

• Excellent technical communication skills for customer-facing interactions.

• A self-motivated, highly collaborative individual who can manage complex technical engagements effectively.

• Willingness to travel as required, approximately 10–20% of the time.
