Field Application Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Regularly travel to customer locations

• Resolve issues related to technical expertise, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software, and instrumentation

• Assist commercial teams and clientele with technical applications while providing product training

• Educate and support distributor networks

• Offer strategic and competitive insights to marketing and product development teams

• Take the lead or manage beta testing at customer locations independently

• Work collaboratively with key decision-makers and senior management on critical technical matters

• Support sales and marketing with strategic activities before and after sales

• Conduct customer training sessions and workshops both in-person and virtually

• Utilize service CRM software to identify and document customer opportunities

• Partner with internal teams to address customer issues and enhance processes

• Be prepared for international travel up to 80%

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years in NGS library construction (a combination of education and experience may be considered)

• Required hands-on experience with cell culture and tissue handling

• Preferred experience with NGS sequencing instruments and sequencing run setup, as well as NGS sample and library preparation workflows

• Preferred experience in cell biology, microscopy, and multiomics

• Proficient in nucleic acids and protein analytical techniques

• Able to generate high-quality and reproducible wet-lab data from established protocols

• Proven account management capabilities

• Fluency in both French and English is essential

• Must be highly driven with strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication abilities and strong relationship-building skills

• Highly collaborative and adaptable; able to function effectively within multidisciplinary teams

• Comfortable navigating discussions on technical projects

• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team

• Able to frequently lift boxes weighing up to 20 pounds

• Must have flexible working hours as this role may require customer support outside of regular business hours
