Field Application Engineer – Process Automation Solutions, Explosion Protection, HMI, Ethernet-APL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance customer-specific Process Automation Solutions in collaboration with clients and international Competence Centers, with a focus on Explosion Protection Solutions, HMI, and Ethernet-APL.

• Offer technical consulting and assistance to Sales for complex customer projects, from the analysis of requirements to successful execution.

• Serve as the liaison for technical requirements among customers, Sales, Competence Centers, Product Management, and Development.

• Aid in the identification, assessment, and implementation of new customer applications.

• Play a key role in the market introduction of new products and technologies.

• Facilitate technical training for customers, conduct workshops, participate in trade fairs, and deliver product presentations.

• Actively engage in the Expertise Team.

• Document and disseminate successful customer solutions and best practices.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of methods, KPIs, and processes within the matrix organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed technical university degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or project management.

• Strong knowledge of process automation, preferably in Explosion Protection Solutions, HMI, Ethernet-APL, or industrial communication.

• A robust technical understanding and passion for complex customer solutions.

• An independent, organized, and solution-focused approach to work.

• Excellent communication skills, teamwork ability, and a confident presence with customers.

• Willingness to travel within the sales region.

• Proficient in German and good command of English.
