This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Serve as the key point of contact between clients and QNX Research & Development, Engineering Services, and Product Management.
β’ Offer technical knowledge on QNX solutions in both pre-sales and post-sales roles.
β’ Assist the sales team with technical support and consulting activities, which include analyzing customer design requirements and assessing feasibility and scope.
β’ Oversee customer technical requirements from the development phase to commercial launch.
β’ Establish and nurture technical relationships with customers to foster new development initiatives and upgrades.
β’ Execute pre-sales software development tasks, including demonstrations, benchmarking, high-level design support, and initial environment configuration.
β’ Engage in specific customer-related development as needed.
β’ Create and deliver technical presentations to customers, whether on-site or through virtual platforms.
β’ Represent QNX at regional trade shows, speaking events, webinars, and customer gatherings.
β’ Build and maintain a technical knowledge base regarding competitive insights.
β’ Advise Marketing and Sales on technical requirements to enhance customer experience.
β’ Travel to customer locations, approximately 25β30% of the time.
β’ Proven experience in bridging the gap between customers and engineering in both commercial (sales) and technical roles.
β’ Practical experience in software sales, preferably within embedded industries.
β’ Background in software development, design, and architecture with a focus on embedded systems, real-time programming, or similar low-level programming using C, Assembly, or C++.
β’ Familiarity with Linux development environments.
β’ Experience in industrial, robotics, or medical sector verticals.
β’ Comprehensive general knowledge of the high-tech and embedded industry.
β’ In-depth understanding and current awareness of market trends and practices.
β’ Strong skills in general and strategic business management, creative and visionary planning, analysis and decision-making, effective leadership, communication, and customer relations.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
β’ Outstanding communication skills, capable of translating complex technical ideas into clear business value.
β’ Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations with customers.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
β’ Familiarity with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and IEC 62304 is a valuable asset.
β’ Technical experience with RTOS solutions from companies like Wind River or Green Hills is beneficial but not mandatory.
β’ Willingness to travel 25β30% to customer locations.
