Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical liaison between Tenstorrent and clients throughout Southeast Asia.

• Collaborate with customers, partners, sales teams, and global engineering units to comprehend AI and machine learning workloads.

• Direct technical evaluations and deployments.

• Diagnose issues across both hardware and software platforms.

• Assist clients in maximizing the performance of Tenstorrent's AI platforms.

• Design and implement AI/ML solutions tailored to customer use cases, including Generative AI and LLM applications.

• Lead customer interactions from pre-sales technical assessments and demonstrations to proof-of-concept execution and production implementation.

• Work in partnership with product development, engineering, research, sales, and business development teams.

• Contribute to establishing regional service capabilities and support the growth of a Tenstorrent office in Southeast Asia.

• Travel across Southeast Asia for customer installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Customer-oriented technical expert capable of building trust with application developers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

• Proficient in translating intricate AI/ML hardware and software concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-motivated and proactive problem solver who can coordinate internal teams, external service providers, and customer stakeholders across Southeast Asia.

• Willing and able to travel to customer locations for installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution.

• Over 5 years of professional experience with both hardware and software technologies related to AI.

• Background as a Field Application Engineer, Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a similar client-facing technical position focused on AI/ML software and hardware.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Strong familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, vision models, model deployment, training, or fine-tuning is preferred.

• Proven experience in designing scalable AI solutions and deploying applications in cloud environments.

• Skilled in physically installing, relocating, and repairing servers, accelerator cards, and PCIe devices.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience with C++, CUDA, parallel programming, or kernel development is a plus.

• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Malay would be advantageous.
