This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Take the lead in proactively identifying and addressing patient access obstacles related to payer coverage, prior authorization, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to facilitate benefits verification and educate on payer documentation requirements as well as available patient support resources.
• Analyze and interpret data from HUBs, specialty pharmacies, and payers to uncover systemic access gaps and execute compliance-approved process enhancements or educational initiatives.
• Deliver approved access education to internal stakeholders in alignment with compliance guidelines.
• Work with Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and resolve ongoing access challenges.
• Assist with launch readiness and lifecycle management by identifying access barriers early and implementing field-based strategies for mitigation.
• Track access performance metrics and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Oversee high-priority case escalations that involve intricate reimbursement or payer issues.
• Conduct monitoring of the regional payer landscape.
• Provide structured field insights to cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliant documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes within CRM systems.
• Connect access strategy with field execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred but not mandatory).
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
• In-depth understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization processes, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven track record of resolving complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing environment.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, specialty pharmacy reporting, and payer policy tracking.
• Proficient in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
