This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +2 more states.
• Drive proactive identification and resolution of barriers to patient access related to payer coverage, prior authorization, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to assist in benefits verification and provide education on payer documentation requirements and patient support resources.
• Analyze and interpret data from HUB, specialty pharmacies, and payers to uncover systemic access gaps and implement compliance-approved process enhancements or access education.
• Act as a subject matter expert in field access and deliver approved access education to internal stakeholders.
• Work together with Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and address recurring access friction points.
• Aid in launch readiness and lifecycle management by pinpointing access barriers and executing field-based mitigation strategies.
• Track access performance metrics, such as time to fill, prior authorization approval rates, abandonment rates, and conversion rates, and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Oversee high-priority case escalations involving intricate reimbursement or payer issues that necessitate cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct monitoring of the regional payer landscape to identify policy changes or coverage shifts affecting patient access.
• Provide structured field insights to cross-functional partners to guide access strategy, HUB optimization, and enhancements to patient support programs.
• Ensure compliant and accurate documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes in CRM systems.
• Serve as a liaison between access strategy and field execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
• In-depth understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, SP reporting, and payer policy tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with healthcare provider offices, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Capability to function in a fast-paced launch or high-growth commercial environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
• Advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ideal candidate should reside within the South Central territory and within a 100-mile radius of a major commercial airport.
