This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
• Drive the proactive identification and resolution of patient access obstacles related to payer coverage, prior authorization processes, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider (HCP) offices to facilitate benefits verification and educate them on payer documentation requirements and available patient support resources.
• Analyze and interpret data from HUBs, specialty pharmacies, and payers to identify systemic access gaps and implement compliance-approved process enhancements or access education.
• Act as a field access subject matter expert, delivering approved access education to internal stakeholders in accordance with compliance-approved materials.
• Work alongside Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and address recurring access issues.
• Support launch readiness and lifecycle management by identifying access barriers early and executing field-based mitigation strategies.
• Monitor key access performance metrics and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Manage urgent case escalations involving complex reimbursement or payer issues that require cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct regional payer landscape monitoring, identifying policy changes or coverage shifts that affect patient access.
• Provide structured field insights to cross-functional partners to inform access strategies, optimize HUB operations, and enhance patient support programs.
• Maintain compliant and accurate documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes in CRM systems.
• Serve as a liaison between strategy and execution, ensuring access strategies are effectively implemented in the field.
• Travel throughout the assigned Rocky Mountain territory to engage with healthcare providers, patient support stakeholders, specialty pharmacies, and other access-related partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred but not mandatory).
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
• Strong grasp of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, specialty pharmacy reporting, and payer policy tracking.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of breaking down complex reimbursement scenarios into clear, actionable steps.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with HCP offices, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced launch or high-growth commercial environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
