This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
• Take the lead in proactively identifying and addressing patient access obstacles related to payer coverage, prior authorization, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to verify benefits, understand payer documentation requirements, and utilize patient support resources.
• Analyze HUB, specialty pharmacy, and payer data to discover access gaps and implement compliant process enhancements or access education initiatives.
• Deliver approved access education to internal stakeholders in alignment with compliance-approved materials.
• Work together with Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and resolve ongoing access challenges.
• Aid in launch readiness and lifecycle management by pinpointing access barriers and executing field-based mitigation strategies.
• Track access performance metrics and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Oversee high-priority reimbursement and payer issue escalations.
• Keep an eye on regional payer landscape changes that impact patient access.
• Provide field insights to shape access strategies, optimize HUB operations, and enhance patient support programs.
• Ensure compliant documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes in CRM systems.
• Travel within the assigned Northeast territory to engage with healthcare providers, patient support stakeholders, specialty pharmacies, and access-related partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory).
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
• Solid understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing capacity.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes (claims, benefit verification, specialty pharmacy reporting, payer policy tracking).
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• The ideal candidate should reside within the Northeast territory and within a 100-mile radius of a major commercial airport.
