This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
β’ Proactively identify and resolve patient access challenges related to payer coverage, prior authorizations, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
β’ Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to facilitate benefits verification and educate on payer documentation requirements and available patient support resources.
β’ Analyze and interpret data from HUB, specialty pharmacies, and payers to pinpoint systemic access gaps and implement compliance-approved process enhancements or educational initiatives.
β’ Act as a field access subject matter expert, delivering approved access education to internal stakeholders in alignment with compliance-approved materials.
β’ Work alongside Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and address recurring access challenges.
β’ Aid in launch readiness and lifecycle management by identifying access barriers early and executing field-based strategies for mitigation.
β’ Track key access performance metrics and convert insights into actionable plans.
β’ Oversee high-priority case escalations involving complex reimbursement or payer issues that necessitate cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Conduct regional payer landscape assessments to identify policy updates or coverage changes that could affect patient access.
β’ Provide structured field insights to cross-functional teams to shape access strategies, optimize HUB performance, and enhance patient support programs.
β’ Ensure compliant and accurate documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes within CRM systems.
β’ Serve as a connector between strategy and execution, ensuring that access strategies are effectively implemented in the field.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory).
β’ Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
β’ Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
β’ Proven ability to address complex access and reimbursement issues in a field-based or customer-facing setting.
β’ Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, SP reporting, and payer policy tracking.
β’ Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
β’ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced launch or high-growth commercial environment with competing priorities.
β’ Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
β’ Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
