This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Proactively identify and resolve barriers to patient access related to payer coverage, prior authorizations, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
• Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to facilitate benefits verification and educate them on payer documentation requirements along with available patient support resources.
• Analyze and interpret data from HUBs, specialty pharmacies, and payers to uncover systemic access gaps and implement compliance-approved process enhancements or educational initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert in field access, providing approved educational resources to internal stakeholders in accordance with compliance standards.
• Work alongside Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and address recurring access obstacles.
• Assist in launch readiness and lifecycle management by early identification of access barriers and execution of field-based mitigation strategies.
• Track key access performance metrics such as time to fill, PA approval rates, abandonment rates, and conversion rates, translating insights into actionable plans.
• Manage escalations of high-priority cases that involve complex reimbursement or payer issues requiring coordination across functions.
• Conduct monitoring of the regional payer landscape to identify policy changes or shifts in coverage that may affect patient access.
• Provide structured field insights to cross-functional partners to guide access strategies, optimize HUB performance, and enhance patient support programs.
• Ensure compliant and accurate documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes in CRM systems.
• Serve as a link between strategy and execution, ensuring that access strategies are effectively implemented in the field.
• Travel within the assigned Mid Atlantic territory to engage with healthcare providers, patient support stakeholders, specialty pharmacies, and other access-related partners.
• Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred but not mandatory).
• Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization processes, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement issues in a field-based or customer-facing capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, specialty pharmacy reporting, and payer policy tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to distill complex reimbursement scenarios into straightforward, actionable steps.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with healthcare provider offices, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced launch or high-growth commercial environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
• Experience in training or supporting field sales teams on access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
