This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, delivering account management assistance to healthcare professionals and their teams on behalf of patients prescribed approved products.
• Offer continuous education about the Patient Services program, the regional payer landscape, and access to pharmacy channels.
• Coordinate patient pull-through efforts across HUB, specialty pharmacy, and other channels, ensuring proper HIPAA consent is obtained.
• Act as the main representative of Patient Services platforms within the designated healthcare professional offices.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient access to products.
• Foster advocacy within healthcare professional offices and inform staff about access and payer approval processes.
• Identify barriers to access, necessary actions for healthcare professionals, and initiatives supporting patient access to therapy.
• Provide educational materials regarding prior authorizations, appeals, specialty pharmacy, and access challenges.
• Facilitate the use of patient service platforms when offices choose HUB or specialty pharmacy routes.
• Manage annual pharmacy reauthorizations to ensure timely continuation of therapy.
• Work collaboratively across Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Strategic Accounts, and other partners.
• Recognize and tackle time-sensitive market development and implementation efforts to eliminate access barriers and enhance adherence.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans for key accounts while executing market access initiatives.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of national, regional, and local payer landscapes, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management criteria.
• Evaluate how payer/PBM/specialty pharmacy alignments and pharmacy formularies influence market access.
• Provide field insights that support access and patient/payer assistance programs.
• Anticipate and address account and patient access challenges with the relevant stakeholders.
• Show a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a healthcare degree is preferred, such as MS, RN, PA, PharmD, or a similar advanced healthcare/scientific qualification.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in payer policy and patient access.
• At least 5 years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior authorization requirements, or equivalent patient access experience.
• Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures, including Medicare Parts B & D.
• Understanding of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs.
• Strong knowledge of specialty product access/reimbursement processes and Patient Support Services programs.
• Excellent analytical abilities to evaluate market dynamics, competitor actions, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
• Capability to collect and interpret data to inform regional strategy, including HUB and patient claims data.
• Knowledge of Integrated Delivery Networks/Integrated Health Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and capable of conducting virtual engagements via Microsoft Teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proven track record of success in a cross-functional environment.
• Skilled in delivering impactful educational presentations.
• In-depth knowledge of Veeva systems.
• Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
• Previous launch experience in an Access/Reimbursement role is preferred.
• Background in biopharmaceutical functions such as product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management, or large healthcare practices is advantageous.
