This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, offering account management assistance to healthcare providers and their teams on behalf of patients prescribed an approved product.
• Deliver continuous education regarding the Patient Services program, the regional payer landscape, and access to pharmacy channels.
• Facilitate pull-through efforts for patients prescribed medications across HUB, specialty pharmacy, and various channels once appropriate HIPAA consent is obtained.
• Represent Patient Services platforms as the main interface within designated healthcare professional offices.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient access to the product.
• Promote advocacy within healthcare professional offices and inform staff about access and payer approval processes.
• Recognize access obstacles and emphasize necessary actions by healthcare professionals to address them.
• Offer educational materials that support the patient journey, such as prior authorizations, appeals, specialty pharmacy, and access challenges.
• Oversee the utilization of patient service platforms and annual pharmacy reauthorizations.
• Work collaboratively across departments including Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, Strategic Accounts, and others as a subject matter expert on processes and payers.
• Identify and tackle urgent market development and implementation initiatives to eliminate access barriers and enhance adherence.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans for key accounts and market access projects.
• Stay informed about national, regional, and local payer landscapes, specialty pharmacy, and utilization management criteria.
• Comprehend the alignment between Payer/PBM/specialty pharmacy and the implications of formularies on market access.
• Provide field insights that support access and patient/payer assistance programs.
• Anticipate, navigate, and resolve account and patient access challenges.

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A healthcare degree is preferable, including MS, RN, PA, PharmD, or a similar advanced healthcare/scientific qualification.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in payer policy and patient access.
• More than 5 years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior authorization processes, or equivalent knowledge in patient access.
• Familiarity with Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures, with experience in Medicare Parts B & D.
• Understanding of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs.
• In-depth knowledge of specialty product access/reimbursement processes, including Patient Support Services programs.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market dynamics, competitor activities, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
• Capability to collect and analyze data to inform regional strategy, including insight into HUB and patient claims data.
• Familiarity with Integrated Delivery Networks/Integrated Health Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications with the ability to conduct virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities while demonstrating excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as initiative and independence.
• Proven success in a cross-functional work environment.
• Ability to deliver impactful educational presentations.
• Strong knowledge of Veeva systems.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is advantageous.
• Previous experience in an Access/Reimbursement role during a product launch is a plus.
• Experience in additional biopharmaceutical industry roles is beneficial.
