This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.
β’ Proactively identify and address patient access challenges related to payer coverage, prior authorizations, step edits, copay assistance, and specialty pharmacy routing.
β’ Collaborate with healthcare provider (HCP) offices to facilitate benefits verification and educate them on payer documentation requirements and available patient support resources.
β’ Analyze and interpret data from HUB, specialty pharmacies, and payers to pinpoint systemic access gaps and implement process improvements or educational initiatives that comply with regulations.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert in field access, delivering approved access education to internal stakeholders in line with compliance guidelines.
β’ Work together with Market Access, Patient Services, and HUB vendors to enhance pull-through efficiency and resolve persistent access challenges.
β’ Assist in launch readiness and lifecycle management by identifying access barriers early and executing field-based strategies to mitigate them.
β’ Track key access performance metrics, such as time to fill, PA approval rates, abandonment rates, and conversion rates, and convert insights into actionable plans.
β’ Handle high-priority case escalations that involve complex reimbursement or payer issues needing cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Monitor the regional payer landscape, noting policy changes or coverage adjustments that impact patient access.
β’ Provide structured field insights to cross-functional partners to guide access strategy, HUB optimization, and enhancements to patient support programs.
β’ Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of case activities, interventions, and outcomes within CRM systems.
β’ Serve as a liaison between strategy and execution, confirming that access strategies are effective in the field.
β’ Travel within the designated territory to engage with healthcare providers, patient support stakeholders, specialty pharmacies, and other related partners.
β’ Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access services, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, or market access support roles.
β’ Strong comprehension of payer dynamics, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
β’ Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
β’ Proven ability to resolve complex access and reimbursement cases in a field-based or customer-facing capacity.
β’ In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical access data sources and processes, including claims, benefit verification, SP reporting, and payer policy tracking.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of distilling complex reimbursement scenarios into clear, actionable steps.
β’ Strong communication and relationship-building skills with HCP offices, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
β’ Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced launch or high-growth commercial environment with competing priorities.
β’ Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of BI tools like Tableau and Power BI is an advantage.
β’ Previous experience in training or supporting field sales teams regarding access and reimbursement topics is preferred.
β’ The ideal candidate should reside within the Allegheny territory, within a 100-mile radius of a major commercial airport.
