This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary technical advisor for storage solutions and serve as Solutions Architect for designated Federal accounts.
• Grasp customer mission priorities, technical ecosystems, acquisition strategies, security mandates, and modernization efforts.
• Design and advocate HPE solutions across block, file, object, data protection, virtualization, private/hybrid cloud, AI, and AIOps workloads.
• Drive technical sales engagements from initial discovery and architecture development through sizing, validation, proof of concept, competitive positioning, proposal, and technical closure.
• Shape Federal requirements, architectures, specifications, and acquisition strategies early in the buying process.
• Build technical relationships with customer architects, engineers, program teams, acquisition stakeholders, and technical executives.
• Collaborate with Federal Systems Integrators, prime contractors, OEM partners, and channel partners on joint solutions and initiatives.
• Convert mission and technical requirements into unique HPE storage architectures.
• Lead competitive strategies against Dell Technologies, Pure Storage, NetApp, IBM, and other storage competitors.
• Assist with RFI, RFP, RFQ, technical proposal, architecture review, and solution-validation tasks.
• Coordinate resources from HPE engineering, product, services, security, partners, and specialists.
• Retain technical leadership on strategic opportunities until successful technical closure.
• Evaluate success through Federal opportunity growth, technical win rates, competitive victories, requirement influence, proof-of-concept conversion, workload expansion, customer relationships, and successful technical closure.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• Federal clearance required: TS/SCI with FSP poly.
• Travel requirement: 50% or more.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience working with or supporting the Federal Intelligence Community.
• Extensive experience as a Storage Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical sales role for Federal Government clients.
• Proven history of selling and architecting enterprise storage solutions to Federal accounts.
• Experience supporting civilian and defense/national-security customers or analogous complex Federal environments.
• Familiarity with Federal acquisition processes, buying cycles, procurement practices, and contract vehicles.
• Experience collaborating with Federal Systems Integrators and prime contractors.
• Strong understanding of HPE Storage solutions and associated technologies.
• In-depth technical knowledge across block, file, object/unstructured data, data protection, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and cyber resilience.
• Adept knowledge of at least one major competitive storage portfolio such as Dell Technologies, Pure Storage, NetApp, IBM, or equivalent.
• Capability to lead intricate technical pursuits to successful technical closure.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Preferred: experience in classified or national-security environments.
• Preferred: relevant HPE, storage, cloud, virtualization, security, or architecture certifications.
• Preferred: experience with large Federal modernization, data-center consolidation, cloud, cyber-resilience, or mission-critical infrastructure initiatives.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage architectures, including block, file, object, backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience.
• Understanding of storage requirements for VMware, virtualization, Kubernetes/container, private-cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with NIST, FIPS, RMF/ATO, STIG, FedRAMP, and relevant CMMC/DFARS standards.
• Awareness of Federal data sovereignty, encryption, access control, supply-chain, and information-protection considerations.
• Advanced skills in technical discovery, whiteboarding, sizing, architecture, demonstration, proof-of-concept, and presentation.
