Federal Enterprise Architect – DOD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design solutions that integrate hardware, software, services, and as-a-service offerings to achieve the desired business outcomes for customers.

• Create and present customer proposals that align with both business and technical requirements.

• Offer technical knowledge to sales teams and clients through engaging presentations and demonstrations.

• Exhibit expertise in solution domains, products, services, customer environments, and their business needs.

• Assess business challenges and articulate the value of solutions.

• Convert outcome-focused solutions into scalable functional and technical designs.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate industry trends into solutions.

• Engage in industry events, conferences, demonstrations, and presentations.

• Collect competitive intelligence and assist with account planning initiatives.

• Take part in detailed customer discussions and present strategies for technical transformation.

• Create comparative analyses of different solution approaches.

• Design, configure, and optimize workload solutions to meet client needs.

• Utilize partner products and services while sharing knowledge with external partners.

• Develop account pipelines through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying unmet customer needs.

• Oversee and cultivate opportunities until closure.

• Contribute to sales forecasts and aid in accelerating the sales cycle.

• Document activities throughout the sales cycle using designated tools and share best practices.

• Foster relationships with customer executives.

• Share expertise with colleagues and mentor junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• US citizenship is mandatory.

• Travel requirement: over 50%.

• Minimum of 6 years experience working with or supporting the Federal Sector in the Department of Defense (DOD).

• At least 6 years of technical IT experience emphasizing technical consulting and solution selling.

• Practical experience in system and network administration, data center operations, and enterprise infrastructure management.

• Capability to architect, configure, and present solutions that meet DOD mission criteria.

• Proven ability to balance technical precision with practical implementation.

• A first-level university technical degree or equivalent qualifications is required.

• An advanced degree in technology is preferred.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Proficient in advanced solution configuration, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept scenarios.

• Comprehensive knowledge of company products, software, services, solution domains, and as-a-service offerings.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in English and relevant local languages as needed.

• Advanced understanding of business and financial principles, including TCO/ROI concepts and financial models.

• Expertise in consultative/value selling skills, including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing techniques.

• In-depth knowledge of technical tools and CRM systems.

• Strong resource management, project management, and time management capabilities.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced understanding of partner offerings and go-to-market strategies.

• Proficient in strategic and account planning.

• Hands-on experience with relevant products, solutions, tools, or services.
